Public administration can be defined as the implementation of policy by civil servants within an official government's executive framework. Public administrators manage nearly every aspect of public service at the federal, state and local levels offering the opportunity to help shape the future. They can be budget analyst, political scientist, civil servants, education administrators, administrative services managers, public administration consultant, executive director, director of development, program analyst, permanent secretary, etc.

He/she must have problem solving skills, analytical skills,     sensitivity to the values and interests of others, communication, both written and verbal, teamwork, the ability to handle numerical data, and proficiency in the use of information technology.

Public administrators work in both governmental and non-profit organizations. A public administrator oversees the achievement and regulation of policies in organizations and ensures that everyday operations run smoothly.
