Entrepreneurs start new businesses and take on the risk and rewards of being an owner. This is the ultimate career in capitalism - putting your idea to work in a competitive economy. Some new ventures generate enormous wealth for the entrepreneur.  The job of entrepreneur is not for everyone.

You need to be hard-working, smart, creative, willing to take risks and good with people. You need to have a large heart, have motivation and enthusiastic drive.

Job profile/Duties:   
Starting a new business – small, medium and large scale. Duties and responsibilities include formulating policies, managing daily operations, and planning the use of materials and human resources, but are too diverse and general in nature to be classified in any one functional area of management or administration, such as personnel, purchasing, or administrative services.   

Where to work:   
Private and government companies as chief executive officer, development consultant (all areas), manager, small business, small business owner, business development strategic planner, urban and regional planner, private equity investment, business education, motivational entrepreneurs, higher education professor of entrepreneurship, non-profit agencies, venture capitalists and self-employed.
