2016/2017 SESSION PRE-ADMISSION SCREENING EXERCISE
The University of Benin hereby invites all candidates who applied for admission into the University as first choice in the 2016 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) to visit the University of Benin Website: https://uniben.waeup.org/applicants/ase2016 for details of the procedure for the Pre-Admission Screening Exercise. Registration for Pre-Admission Screening will commence on Friday 2nd September 2016 and will close at 12.00 midnight on Sunday 11th September 2016.
ELIGIBILITY
Candidate must have the following:
Scored a minimum of 200 marks in the 2016 UTME for all courses except those for which higher bench marks have been specified in the University Website.
Obtained at least five (5) credit passes at GCE O/L, SSCE, NECO, or their equivalent. The subjects must include English Language, and Mathematics (for courses for which a credit in mathematics is required) as well as three other relevant subjects at not more than two sittings, except for the MB.BS degree for which only one sitting is required.
Eligible candidates should visit the University website to complete the registration online. The University recognizes that several candidates had earlier registered for the previously scheduled Uniben Admission Screening Exercise which was subsequently cancelled by the Federal Government. For such candidates they would not need to make any further payment in order to register for this Pre-Admission Screening exercise. For other candidates who are registering for the first time, the University will charge a fee of #2,500.00 (Two Thousand Five Hundred Naira) only for this screening exercise.

On the home page of the University of Ilorin website, click on 2016/2017 Pre-Admission Screening Procedure
All candidates are advised to click on Pre-Admission Screening Instructions and carefully read the Registration Instructions:
On Admission Menu displayed on the left-hand side, click Pre-Admission Screening Instruction and read carefully.
Type in your JAMB Registration Number and SURNAME in the boxes provided. Carefully type in your JAMB Registration Number as any error committed will not allow your details to be displayed.
Thereafter,
UTME candidates should click on the Get Details button for your JAMB information;
DE candidates should click OK button on the dialog box displayed and enter your names; and
Click on Make Payment link to go to WEBPAY page. Note: UTME Candidates who are qualified for the courses originally chosen can proceed to make payment by supplying the required information. However, UTME Candidates who are not qualified for the course originally chosen are advised to change their course as indicated on the payment page. Note the sum of N2,500 is charged for change of course.

OAU IFE 2016 ADMISSION SCREENING EXERCISE
Candidates who made Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife their first choice in the 2016
UTME/DE and scored 200 and above are hereby informed to log on to Obafemi Awolowo
University, Ile-Ife website (www.oauife.edu.ng) or eportal.oauife.edu.ng to participate in the
screening exercise effective from July 15, 2016.
Candidates who are awaiting results are also eligible to apply for the screening. Such
candidates will be allowed to upload their results when they are released only if they applied
within the specified period.
To commence the on-line screening, candidates are required to log on to University eportal
and click on 2016 ADMISSION SCREENING-UTME/DE APPLICANTS using their
JAMB Registration Numbers to download RRR (Remita Retrieval Reference) and use it to
pay for EPORTAL Access Charges for ICT Development (as paid by all regular students
utilising OAU EPORTAL platform) to upload necessary data and N= 1,500 screening charge
on Remita platform which accepts cash payment via branch of any bank or master card.
Applicants for the Screening Exercise will be required to do the following on the University
EPORTAL:
1. Update JAMB data
2. Upload Results (i.e WAEC, NECO, JUPEB, ND, NCE etc)
3. Upload scanned copy of credentials
4. Upload passport photograph (if not available)
5. Print Admission Screening Report
Closing Date for screening of UTME candidate is 20th July, 2016.
Closing date for screening of Direct Entry is 30th July, 2016.
Candidates are required to bring copies of the Admission Screening Report on resumption if
admitted.
The exercise will not require physical presence of candidates on Obafemi Awolowo
University campus.

Method Of Application
1. Visit the University Website www.ebsu-edu.net
2. Click on the EBSU Portal
3. Click on the Online application
4. Click on 2016/2017 admission screening application
5. type in your (i) JAMB Registration Number (ii) Functional phone number
6. Generate payment invoice containing your details
7. Proceed to the bank to make payment through e-tranzact and obtain your e-tranzact confirmation order number (PIN) from the bank
8. Return to the portal (portal.ebsu-edu.net/Modules/Applications/Default.aspx) with your confirmation order number (PIN) from the bank
9. Proceed to completethe form online
10. Correctly enter your O’Level results
11. Confirm your entries
12. Submit the application
13. Print out your acknowledgement slip
14. Await for further directives from the University on the screening exercise
